Standing Committees

The Santa Barbara Woman's Club has several committees to help undertake special projects or services to benefit our members and building.  Some exist briefly while other ongoing committees meet year in and year out.  You are not obliged, but are always welcome, to join one of these committees.

Endowment Committee: Meets quarterly on Tuesday afternoons, to discuss the professional management of our investment accounts. They also manage the memorial and honorary gifts, and the purchase and ordering of leaves for the Rockwood Tree.

Membership Committee: Meets as called by the Chair, to staff the membership table at our teas and luncheons, help with the annual member recruitment tea, and help with strategies to promote wearing our name tags and collecting dues.

Program Committee: Meets as called by the Chair to vet ideas and resources for upcoming programs and parties.

Greeting Committee: Meets as called by the Chair to organize the sale of tickets for our events, greet members and their guests, and to help those attending our luncheons to find their tables.

Website Committee: Meets to coordinate updates and maintenance of our Club website, and to maintain the member portion of the site.

Ways and Means Committee: Meets as called by the chairman, to coordinate with the caterers and waitstaff for our luncheons, set the luncheon tables, and help serve wine at our luncheons.

Tea and Second Wednesday Refreshments Committees: Members help prepare the tea refreshments at home or in the Club kitchen, one or more times during our year.

House Committee: Meets to undertake and manage special decorating and construction projects for our Rockwood clubhouse.

Flower and Table Decorations Committee:Provides centerpieces for our tea and luncheon tables. While we have individuals willing to take turns, we are currently looking for a Chair.
